One of the biggest criticisms of mainstream media today is their failure to report the news without editorializing. If someone doesn’t like what the media is reporting - it’s fake. And if it’s not fake, it’s at least left leaning or right leaning.  I’m not suggesting there isn’t some truth to this and some media are certainly much worse at it than others, but it’s become a cop-out to dismiss any news that doesn’t support the viewer’s preconceived bias. Things aren’t always black and white though. Sometimes omission of a few details here and there can be just as misleading as an outright lie. But there’s even more to it than that. Trump feels that NATO countries' support in his war with Iran should have been automatic.  But Trump isn’t very well informed. And neither are his MAGA supporters who believe everything Trump tells them. Is This The Ranting Of A Sane World Leader? - jim Young  I'm not sure which I find the most disturbing. 1) That Trump actually said (or at least texted) this, or 2) That even "I" didn't really believe he would say (or post) it. It's easy to fake a screenshot of an X post, a Facebook post or any other post from any social media so I decided to vet it as best I could. I searched MSN, CNN, Reuters, The Wall Street Journal, FOX, AP and other sources... even Al Jazeera and they are all reporting the same story. (Some of the really far right sites didn't cover it but neither did they deny it or suggest it was fake.) Still not content to believe it was real, I decided to get it from the horses mouth. And at the risk of  alienating myself from my fellow peers (pun intended) I will say this only once, "Come on guys - if it's that important to the ladies - PUT THE SEAT DOWN!" It's not that big of a deal for the guys to put the toilet seat back down after, but then in all fairness, why is it such a big deal for the ladies to put it down before? “Have you ever sat down on the toilet and fallen through because the seat wasn't down?" Hey, if McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski didn’t care much for McDonald’s Big Arch burger then no one can tell me I have to like all of my recipes either.
